Actually, I interpreted them completely differently. Some of the Widgets are AJAX based. So I think (hope) that all u will need to do is to package something widget like and copy it somehow to the phone. Most importantly, Steve mentioned that all internal phone functions will be exported in form of web services - which means that iphone will have some sort of web server running and your AJAX applications will talk to that server.
