Re: talking to external MySQL servers

Sorry, I'm a stupid MySQL user, I can't explain the convert encodings. But! There is a tool MySQL Query Browser 1.2 at
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html
and you can download the Source Code!!
If I use this tool to insert or change records, it writes "äöüß" at latin1_german2_ci korrekt!
Maybe, the as-programmers can learn from this code?
