Thanks. I'll read the manual on these things and look for examples, even though I'll likely have to become more generally competent with AppleScript in order to be able to take advantage of this.


But for me the abbreviations were worth the price of admission in themselves. There's a little glitchiness with them - don't always kick in, unrequested returns added in the editing window, awkward saving - but they work pretty well and I'll probably soon have hundreds of them.
