TextEdit window not marked as changed

Hello,

I see a minor problem with putting text in a TextEdit window.
If I add text to an existing file-based window by means of an AppleScript TextEdit doesn't warn me to save when I close the window.
Since the "modified" property is read-only I cannot set the window changed in the script.
Looks like a TextEdit bug to me.
