I am still using CometPage for web development, for lack of any comparable solutions (no one else has branchable if/then/else style scripting/macro options!). Last time I tried CometServer on an ASIP server however, it's splash screen locked-up the server (ASIP 6.2.x). It's a WebStar 1.x plugin, but I don't have WebStar to see if it works on that.

The program is essentially free if you can find it, and if you'd like a copy, I believe I have the last available installer around here somewhere and may even have the FTP site (the original author was still answering e-mails about 12 months ago) I got it from. Think I also have the Apache version as well.

CometServer supposedly it handles all/most of NetCloak's features just fine. Never tried it myself, can't be sure.

I really hoped someone would pick-up CometPage/CometServer/CometSite, it was a great development environment. I e-mailed BareBones to get them to buy it, but they had no interest...they used to bundle it with BBEdit and it made a great combination.

Server versions exist for ASIP (WebStar plugin), Apache, and I think NT. Thankfully I can still use the CometPage macro-side to author pages, but I have to publish-out ("expand") the macros and proprietary "SSI" before uploading.

BTW: If anyone has managed to get CometPage to work on a Mac server using ASIP or WebStar, I'd like to hear about it! I'd consider getting WebStar if I knew this combo would work.
