Dennis, I'm unsure what's going on behind curtains at your server.
(btw, your original request didn't arrive here)

In my experience (though all ASIP servers I ever even touched served
max. 30 clients), if a client dies and leaves locked files, ASIP
will detect the lost connection within two or three minutes (ASIP 6.2,
6.3x), and if it doesn't, I'm *running* to the server closet ...

ASIP for sure won't run stable anymore, worst case, you'll
experience server amnesia (clients save to server, but files won't
ever get written to disk).

Any chance you are running Retrospect at the ASIP server?
