Re: appleshare-ip digest, Vol 3 #593 - 1 msg

Donna,
I currently run a truly mixed environment (20 computers) with Macs (OS 9
and OS X) and PCs (all flavors) being served by a Mac ASIP Server running on
a G3 with few problems. I use it only for file sharing and Web Hosting, and
have found it to be a reliable and solid environment. We permit remote
access through AFP and post files for client review with careful control of
access.

In my experience there are no problems staying where you are although I too
would like to advance the Server to an Xserve but financially it is an
unnecessary expense.

Peter
