FYI... the unlimited license for X Server is $1000. The way the "10 user"
limit is counted makes it effectively a 5 user limt.
You're also missing the cost of upgrading retrospect as the version that
most ASIP users are running doesn't deal well with OSX.


I've recommended that managers who are considering replacing ASIP look at
their planned ratio of Window to (Mac + Linux) machines. If they are
staying more than 30% Mac they should stick with OS X server, otherwise look
seriously at NAS or Window-based solutions.

If all you need is file sharing, the admin costs on a NAS solution are
considerably less than those of OS X--especially if you're not already a
OS-X/unix guru.
