This will work, but be aware that the ASIP installer DOES place a few
components into the System suitcase. I'm not really sure what exactly they
do, and, of course, I have NEVER gotten an Apple person to explain either.

I think one thing (part of the ASIP 9.1 Update, the very sub-installer that
causes the version incompatibility error) addresses problems with
MacManager, as per the read me notes with the update.

I too found it surprising that everything works when merely copied over, as
I am pretty nervous about what gets stuck in my System suitcase. However,
the 6.3.3 v1.2 and v1.3 installers ALSO installed the components into the
newer OS's, so I figure they might just be useful...FWIW.
