There is an interface namely “discard()” of IOBlockStorageDriver Class, which deletes unused data blocks from the media.

How this interface is different from SATA Data Set Management command?

If I have the information of Deleted/unused LBAs of the file system, Can I make use of discard() interface to delete them, and support TRIM like functionality?

Any pointer here will be of great help.
