Re: .mac and a MUG Tab

Although I never got an account, I do not think that the fee is not the main problem, but with all the groups out there, why couldn't Apple, Garr or Chuck get Apple to bring them into the discussion in one form or another. At least give the group a heads up that this is on the table. And if groups are actively contributing and making a difference, maybe they could earn a discounted or a free account. Just thinking.

As for a UG tab, I brought that up the first time I went to Apple's site. At the time, Steve was making all the decisions concerning the site. Any changed required him signing off on it. Where are we today. I still think it's a great idea, but the groups need to communicate that interest in one voice. It may or may not affect things, but certain items are in all our interests.

And since Macworld is in full swing, maybe that could be a topic to query all groups that attend. What do you think?
