Hi Ramesh,
Iam working for a company thats developing Bonjour enabled devices. We have already developed a Responder application that has passed the automated tests. We are yet to develop mDNS client utility.
Our plan is to have two different library/applications for the Responder & client, the logic being that an embedded device will not need both of them in most cases. The Response caching will only be done by the client application.
But, We have seen that the mDNSResponder makes use of a cache. Is it necessary for a responder to maintain a cache? Or Is there anything wrong with our approach?
Hope that helps. -Marc
