Hi Johan!
For Windows/Linux machines, you can just include the jar-file to access the
Bonjour-API from Java, on Mac OS X, it's directly available.
For the communication, both systems (server and client) require a running
mDNSResponder server, either Avahi or Apple Bonjour. You can search this list's
archive for more hints on running mDNSResponder without installing Bonjour
