Re: Getting metric of metal window border

I've done this successfully in Finder by comparing:
    GetWindowBounds(kWindowStructureRgn)
with
    GetWindowBounds(kWindowGlobalPortRgn)

I don't believe I tried GetWindowStructureWidths, but I don't see any open bugs against it. -- What was wrong with the values you got back from GetWindowBounds?

Cheers,

I can't for the life of me figure out how to determine the width of the implicit border for a metal window. It's roughly 3 pixels on each side, but I really don't want to handle this by hard coding in the value. GetWindowStructureWidths doesn't return the proper value, nor do any constants passed into GetWindowBounds/ GetWindowRegion.

Any ideas on how to figure this width out?

Thanks in advance,
Jon
