Forgive me for asking a stupid question, but what is the right color?
"the right color" is whatever color matches the background color of the databrowser view. no matter what selector I use, NO selector will create a matching color, it seems. So what is the databrowser using?

As nobody has the ultimate answer, I'd reverse engineer by writing an haxie with APE that just logs API calls and parameters instead of expecting that the answer pops up by iterating the question.

It probably needs to log EraseRect, the Appearance API and a few more calls.
