Although, if a dialog came up, your custom Carbon event would be
dispatched in that case as well.
Is there an error that can be returned that means "leave this event
in the queue"? If not, then I could go with a timer, which would
reset itself if it fired and we knew we were in a modal dialog.
What particular events are you wanting to defer? Are you using
RunAppModalLoopForWindow() ?
