No.

- The events they send are documented in Tiger's HIView.h. The answer to
this question should be obvious.

- I'm kind of confused. Tracking areas result in specific extra events being
sent in addition to any events normally sent to an HIView. Why are you
asking if tracking areas send events that are sent without the use of
tracking areas?

HIView tracking areas are basically just a view-localized version of mouse
tracking regions.
