You must have installed some third-party extension that does this.
Perhaps that explains the CW window layering problem too, but that's
just speculation.


I think that's more likely an issue with classic applications now that I've
done some focused testing, but yes, some third-pary widget did this for me.
But now I can't remember which one it was, and unlike Mac OS 9 and before, I
don't even know where to look for said "extension." In those days I'd hunt
through my Extensions and Control Panels folders, but in Mac OS X I don't
even know where such beasts can live anymore.
