Thanks for the tip. Looks like you just pointed out a further complicating factor in finding information for Mac OS X development: 1) check the headers; 2) check the online documentation; 3) search this list and 4) check Apple's darwin source code :-)


From the source code I gather that -5 is a kind of intersection between kCFMessagePortIsInvalid and kCFMessagePortReceiveTimeout, perhaps it should be called kCFMessagePortReceiveTimeoutBecauseOfInvalidPort ;-)
