All good questions to which I do not know the answers. I don't think there is any 3D UTI defined, so I wouldn't know what to conform to other than public.data.

In place of this

			<key>UTTypeIdentifier</key>
			<string>com.somebody.3dmf</string>


I would suggest org.quesa.3dmf.
