The DTK versions of Mac OS X were never meant to be installed on a
normal PPC machine AFAICT. Despite the fact their build numbers were
higher, many times the released PPC builds were far more "up to
date". There were also many changes in the DTK build made for
debugging or something.
Sadly, you're not the only one I've seen install the DTK build of OS
X on a PPC machine.
