Sadly there's another point to this. If apple had said this in the beginning, they may have had so many orders from normal consumers ($499+$999) that they couldn't have done this kind of "reward".

Either way, if you order an ICBM now, you'll still get it long before anyone that had a DTK gets their exchange ICBM.
