ATSUUnflattenStyleRunsFromStream on Intel

I'm using ATSUUnflattenStyleRunsFromStream to extract ATSUI style objects from the flattened data saved in files and whatnot. When I call this function on an Intel machine I seem to get back style objects without the original kATSUFontTag attributes. I've verified that I'm calling the function on Intel with identical values to what I'm using on PPC. The styles do seem to contain the other information such as point size and underline information but the fonts seem to be missing.

Is there something I have to do to prepare the flattened data for this function on Intel. The flattened data was created on a PPC machine.
