So far, most every post in this thread has been about Toast. Well, I don't much care for Toast - or their upgrade policies - so in my shop we use Discribe from CharisMac. I'm currently running v5.1 and it works great.

The product costs less than Toast; they don't hound you every few months with upgrade fees that are 70+% of the purchase price; it just works; and if you buy automation hardware, they handle that too.

After I read this, I downloaded the demo of Discribe 5. As far as I can tell from the manual, it does not support Joliet format. It describes a naming option which "Allows choosing between Macintosh naming, which allows for 31 characters of any
type, and ISO Level 1, which allows for the standard ISO-9660. Choosing ISO Level 1 will truncate file names to adhere to the 8.3 file naming convention..."

For my purposes, I need to have support for names longer than 31 characters on both Mac and Windows.
