Xcode doesn't save creator and file types on files it saves, and never has. But it respects the file type and creator of existing files it edits, and I just tested this in 2.3 and it still works. Xcode does however claim certain extensions, so if you install Xcode on a machine that doesn't have any other claims to source code extensions, then files on that system will appear with Xcode's icons. In general, just use the Finder's Get Info box to change the "owner" app for .c, .cp, .h files. Chris |
