It seems that my CW project source/header files that I edit recently have been turning into XCode files - after they are saved/updated, they lose their 'CWIE' creator type, and become XCode icons. I could swear this didn't use to happen. In fact I know it didn't.

Anyone know how/where can I prevent this from happening? I've looked around but I can't find anything.

Xcode doesn't save creator and file types on files it saves, and never has.  But it respects the file type and creator of existing files it edits, and I just tested this in 2.3 and it still works.  Xcode does however claim certain extensions, so if you install Xcode on a machine that doesn't have any other claims to source code extensions, then files on that system will appear with Xcode's icons.

In general, just use the Finder's Get Info box to change the "owner" app for .c, .cp, .h files.
