Sounds like using SQLite directly was the correct route. I just wondered if CoreData held any benefits for our application.

SQLite is easy and a much-welcomed addition to MacOS X. I had the exact same reaction to the CoreData APIs as you did. I was hoping the API would be implemented at a much lower level.
