Re-read my post. One major item was that CFTypes pack their own OSTypes so anyone wouldn't have to care about 4 character mnemonics. I get the feeling that you've not done much work with AppleScript Studio. Because if you had, you'd already know that it's AppleEvent mechanism auto-coerces AEDescs to Foundation types (like NSString, NSDictionary, etc.) and back. I'd like CoreFoundation to have the same facility so it can be used to everyone's advantage throughout Carbon.
