You can use Rainer's "Nudge Contextual Menu" to force the Finder to update: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22311. (NOTE: this isn't yet a Universal Binary; bug him to release an updated version). I use it all the time and it works great for issues like that.


You could also probably 'touch' the application bundle, which would most likely cause LS to re-read in the application and possibly have the Finder update the icon.
