Can we assume this was not an accidental omission?

This is a pretty major change from last year - Carbon applications will now always be 32-bit?

Although there will be no real benefit to 64-bit for most applications, in marketing terms it will quickly become the new Universal.

No, it won't, because it's not "Universal", it's "totally niche". The people who need 64-bit are probably already doing it without Cocoa.

You can assume it was a slap in the face? One of the only lasting things I've learned here on CarbonDev is assumptions are evil. Thanks Larry! For a long time I thought that assessment was too harsh and pessimistic, but now I understand that in fact it is a dire warning.

Like, don't assume that somebody won't break into your shop and steal your toolbox. Don't assume people understand a word you are saying. Don't assume the duck will pay the bills. Don't assume the newspeople have news or are people. Don't assume you can put the cat in a box without killing it first.
