So, while I am learning carbon, it's already obsolete?

I'd hardly call it obsolete, but Apple's been pushing Cocoa for Mac OS X development since the beginning of Mac OS X, and most people just getting started with Mac OS development seem to give Cocoa a try. But I haven't heard of anyone writing Cocoa applications in Pascal. ;-)
