Actually, that's not true. Apple has some mechanisms in place specifically for feedback, and those mechanisms put your feedback into the system in a more formal manner than posting comments to lists.

Yes.

Not always. Sometimes Apple has plans for the future that they don't share with developers that preclude giving us what we want. To the extent they eventually give us something better, it's good that they chart their own course. But I think sometimes they chart a course that's good for Apple at the expense of developers, and sometimes I think the course isn't as good for Apple as some people at Apple think it is. I think we should tell them our needs and let them sort out the best way to address them. This is pretty much the only workable approach given the number of people who are telling Apple what they want. ;-)
