It's absolutely true that Cocoa takes time to learn, but it's not
like it's *that* hard for an experienced software developer --
especially one already comfortable with object-oriented programming
-- to get started with.
When my parents taught me how to tie my shoes, the first step was
taught backward. As a result, my bows would always want to go
vertical instead of looking correct. About a decade ago I finally
thought about this, figured out what was wrong, and corrected my shoe
tying process. To this day, I have to stop and think about which way
the first part should go to come out correct. The earlier method is
still built into my brain and tries to take over.
My point? Being forced to switch programming gears is going to waste
a lot of valuable time for many, *many* developers and companies. Not
only in the total redesign of their code, but also in the education
and experience-building areas.
