Re: 64-bit Carbon



Exactly the problem, three options and none of them
good for a non-commercial hobby application that I
spent a year developing under Carbon. I'm not spending
any money on a port to Cocoa when there's no way to
make money from this application. It's researchy
stuff, solely for my own amusement and learning. I'm
the only user of this program, it'll never be
commercial or useful to anyone outside a very small
group  of nerds like me who are interested in
statistics and entropy.

This was the only real GUI application I ever wrote
and it was tough enough under Carbon. The thought of
the amount of work involved just to change the GUI
portion to build correctly in XCode is enough to make
this a command-line only application. In fact, that's
exactly what it is under Windows and Solaris. Maybe
command-line is the way to go for OS X as well...
