If you want cross-platform GUI and ease of development, then you're barking up the wrong tree. Carbon has never, is not, and never will be that. But there are several toolkits you can use, some of which are bound to be 64bit, if not now than in the future:
- wxWidgets - QT - GTK+ - FLTK
So why not use one of them?
