Re: 64-bit Carbon

No; primarily just the menu classes (NSMenu and NSMenuItem), which use
the Carbon Menu Manager. The Cocoa event system also calls into the
Carbon Event Manager to fetch events from the event queue. No other
parts of AppKit are implemented on top of HIToolbox, or ever have been.

So I imagine the Carbon Event Manager and the Carbon Menu Manager will be part of Cocoa 64bits.
Will these 64bits managers be made public or will they become pivate apis?

Also, I'm particularly interested in HITheme which has no equivalent in Cocoa.
Apple should provide a replacement for it before pulling the plug.

I won't regret ATSUI now that I know CoreText is coming.
I won't regret Carbon much if CoreEvent, CoreMenu and CoreTheme are also coming... ;-)
