I'm not slamming the DTS folks. They've been extremely helpful
over the years, as well as patient when I've asked what were
probably dumb questions, and even this time, my most important
question was answered. But having a DTS person tell me to Google
for info about how to do what Apple is telling me I have to do
because the new way isn't documented? Just too much for me
yesterday. In short, if some of us seem to lose our temper a bit
now and then, maybe we really do have our reasons.
The tech pubs group is understaffed because Apple is too broke to
hire enough people or it's too hard to find good people, or some such
lame excuse that really translates into Apple not needing to provide
good documentation because their developers are so loyal to the
platform they'll write software for it without documentation. Said
understaffed group has to prioritize, and apparently they prioritize
by Radar requests, so request the documentation you need there and
hopefully some will show up at some point. ;-)
