Ligature attributes in ATSUI

Hello,
We have a case were we want to set a part of a word with ligature ON and another part with ligature OFF. If we do that in ATSUI the word will break. This is particular in languages that are contextual like Arabic.
Is there a way to tell ATSUI not to consider this difference of style as a word break?
