Hi,
Are SearchKit indices compatible between different releases of Mac OS X?
I have an index generated on 10.4.8 (x86), which can be opened with
SKIndexOpenWithURL on both x86 and PowerPC versions of 10.4.8.
The same index fails to open on 10.3.9 (PPC), although indices generated
on that Mac can be opened successfully on both of the 10.4.8 machines.
That seems to imply that the index format changed between 10.3 and 10.4,
and while 10.4 can read indices from 10.3 the reverse is not true.
I can't see anything relevant in the SearchKit docs or online, so does
anyone know if this is how it's meant to work? Are indices really not
compatible between OS releases?
