Re: OT: Who to contact at Apple

Title: Re: OT: Who to contact at Apple
Hi Dale,

I’m the Application Technologies Evangelist, which covers both the Carbon and Cocoa frameworks.

In general evangelists are a good starting point of contact for developers within Apple.  The job is split between working with developers to adopt new technologies, helping to overcome blocking issues, making architecture decisions for the future, as well as being an advocate for developers within Apple.  And of course, I’m great at pointing you to other people ;-)

My sincerest apologies for being off-topic, but I've tried numerous things to try and get this information, but can't seem to get a clear answer.

Back in the day, the company that I worked for had a contact at Apple, who was called an Evangelist.  This guy's job was to help with non-technical questions, pointing you to the right person at Apple, being someone you could meet up with at WWDC or MacWorld, etc.  A great general resource.  I last personally worked with this guy about two years ago.

I have a need to talk to this guy, or whoever holds a similar position, for non-technical questions about a project that I'm working on, but I can't find out if he's there (emails don't bounce, but don't get replied to,) or if that sort of position even exists anymore.  I tried emailing this to ADC, but I got back a general "thanks for asking, here's some web pages at Apple that might be helpful," none of which referred to this issue.

Do Evangelists (or Business Partner Managers, or whatever that position morphed into) exist anymore?  If so, how does one get in contact with the right one?  (And let me know if one can't do this without being a Premier or Select member.)

Thanks, and apologies once again for going off topic!
