I think it isn't right to call such thing "collapse", but anyway as I mentioned I'm bit lost in Mac terminology. I will be really thankful if you suggest better word.. 

You can do this with something like this:

Rect r, sr;
GetWindowBounds( window, kWindowStructureRgn, &sr );
GetWindowBounds( window, kWindowTitleBarRgn, &r );
TransitionWindow( window, kWindowSlideTransitionEffect, kWindowResizeTransitionAction, &r );
