Why? Is there something wrong with HITheme? It works in 64-bit (at
least, there's nothing saying it doesn't in the header) and HITheme
is great because all it requires is a CGContextRef, which can be
gotten from pretty much anything. Cocoa view, carbon view, OpenGL
(well, the OpenGL CGContext (CGGLContext) header says nothing works
in 10.5...) and HITheme doesn't require a view hierarchy, which is
very, very nice. (Also, you can draw HITheme parts directly to
NSImages).
I don't actually think CoreUI is designed to replace HITheme any more
than getattrlist() is a replacement for FSGetCatalogInfo().

I understand CoreUI is a private Apple framework intended to replace
HITheme. Is that correct?
Does Apple intend to make this framework public in 10.6 or sooner?
I'm still looking for a 64bits HITheme but if CoreUI provides same
functionnalities and is available in 64bits, I'll be happy to adopt
this new framework!
