I had hoped to first hide the window before doing all the rework, by
calling TransitionWindowWithOptions() before to fade-hide it, and
TransitionWindowWithOptions() after to fade-show it. But, first it
does all its shenanigans, *then* it fades out, and it never comes
back. I can take a guess as to what Carbon is doing, but is there a
way to get the desired behavior?
Are you giving processing time to the event loop? Are you telling
TransitionWindow to run synchronously?
