Alternatively, CFStrings are supported by CreateStandardAlert() / RunStandardAlert(), which might be preferable when those strings are handled by other APIs as well, as CFStrings are used widely throughout CoreFoundation, whereas the use of pascal strings is deprecated (well, maybe just discouraged?).
