Re: Daemon crashes during Mac Leopard startup

This is because your daemon attempts to connect to the windowserver, which it cannot do. See http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn2005/tn2083.html#SECWINDOWSERVER for more information and some alternative methods of launching your deamon if you must connect the the windowserver.
