If you use: locate '/System/Library/*.jpg'

then you can see there are a number of jpg files more or less guaranteed to be present in the system (best to find one on each major OS release). For example a file URL created from:

	/System/Library/CoreServices/DefaultDesktop.jpg

would enable you to use LSCopyApplicationURLsForURL() and get the list you need.
