RE: [OT] Anyone home at Metrowerks?

Larry -

I'm not sure just how long you've been writing for OS X but if you were
trying to work with the joke known as Mac OS 10 (GM) or its come-on: the
Beta release, you know just how unstable and difficult it was to write
decent code for those first 5 versions (Developer Preview through 10.0.3).

I marvel at Metrowerks who had guts enough to release anything at all in
those sorry days. And if you want to complain about having to spend $$$ on
upgrades, point your finger squarely at Apple who put us all in this
situation. For it was there that all of the problems were born - NOT at
Metrowerks.

Larry,

First to address your issue of upgrading. Metrowerks sincerely apologizes
if you've had any problems contacting Metrowerks by phone. I will look into
this matter and have someone contact you immediately. If we do not have
your phone number we will contact you by e-mail.

As for Pro 7, there are problems with it and versions of OS X newer than OS
X 10.1. Apple has advanced rapidly in the improvements to Mac OS X and
CodeWarrior 7 was designed for Mac OS X 10.04. So while there are some
patches and workarounds for it, CodeWarrior 7 does have problems with OS X
10.2. and we highly recommend updating to CodeWarrior 8 with the 8.2 & 8.3
updates applied.

If you have any other CodeWarrior questions or issues please contact me
directly.

Regards,

Ken
