Absolutely. But I seem to recall Pro 7 had some problems even with the
versions of Mac OS X it was supposed to support. Things just got worse with
each release of Jaguar.

I understand this, but I have an issue with their official upgrade policy as
well. I also remember having to upgrade CW once a number of years ago
because of a genuine bug that prevented the version of CW I was using at the
time from compiling my project. It just wouldn't compile my project no
matter what I did, the problem was a bug in the compiler, and the fix was to
buy an upgrade to the next version.

Part of my frustration is somewhat general in nature. There's way too much
software around that's half-baked and buggy, or sold and never supported.
Mac OS X was awful when it was released compared to what we have now, and
there are still lots of bugs in it. Resorcerer 2.4 was released before it
was finished, and then the developer stopped working on it. Adobe has
released products and immediately transferred the engineers to other
projects, never releasing a single bug fix. Quark has a long history of
releasing buggy products. I just think it's a crummy way to do business.
