I'm curious which CVS plug-in do people use? The one from Metrowerks or the
one from ElectricFish? And which version?

And then the follow-up to that is whether MacCvsX or MacCVS Pro is used and
its version?

We're using CW 8.3 on OS X and we're just trying to figure out the best
combination of CVS tools so we can do most of our work directly in CW.

Currently, I don't even bother with the CVS plug-ins, since MacCVS Pro does
a pretty good job on its own.

If I was working with a SCCS that required check-out before modification, I
would use a plug-in, but since CVS is a MRO-merge process, I don't even
bother anymore (BTW, you could do the same thing with
Projector/SourceServer, just MRO the file and then check it in).

Hmm, so do you keep "Use Version Control" on and set to None in the CW VCS Settings dialog?

I've always religously checked out first using projector, others on the team always use MRO. I can probably count on one hand the number of MROs I've done in the past nine years on this project. (Yeah, nine years on the same app...hmmm)
