Yes. :)

We really do try to keep UI consistency. We're not competing with in each other in that regard. But the simple fact is that we are two different groups with different tasks that have different priority, and keeping UI consistency is not always our highest priority. Sometimes, it gets delayed in favor of higher-priority features; the new NavServices UI in Panther, for example, kept us busy and meant that we didn't have time to implement some of the other new controls that we wanted to.

Apple is Apple. You're all on the same team. It would be nice if that was projected to fans.

We're doing the best we can, with the time that we have available to us.
