Being the idealist that I am :-), it seems to me that it should be important
to developers that their applications continue to work with new releases of
the OS and they should code responsibly to that end. Over the years I've had
very few problems with new releases of the OS using this approach. I
certainly don't expect Apple to modify the OS to work around my coding
errors.
